Gary Numan’s Fury Tour of 1985 was a 16-date UK run supporting his seventh solo album, The Fury, released on 16 September on his Numa label and reaching No. 24 in the UK album chart. The album continued the sampled, metallic and electro-funk direction established by Berserker.
The tour ran from 20 September at Oxford Apollo to 9 October at Manchester Apollo, visiting Nottingham Royal Concert Hall, Cardiff’s St David’s Hall, Newcastle City Hall, Sheffield City Hall, Bristol Colston Hall and Birmingham Odeon, as well as two nights at London’s Hammersmith Odeon. The itinerary covered approximately 2,400 miles across England and Wales.
Grey Parade provided support. No official live album or concert video was released from the tour, although unofficial recordings of the Hammersmith performances circulate among collectors.
