Numan Discography does not use cookies for advertising or visitor analytics.
The website does use a small number of functional cookies where they are needed for particular website features.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| weekly_chart_voter | Used by the Weekly Album Chart to help prevent repeat voting from the same browser. A random anonymous browser token is created. The chart data stores only a week-specific one-way hash derived from that token. | Approximately 400 days |
| PHPSESSID | Used when visiting the Contact page to support the contact form's CAPTCHA and anti-spam timing. It allows the server to retain the temporary information needed to check the form submission. | Session cookie |
No name, email address or account is required to vote in the Weekly Album Chart. The functional voting cookie is used to help enforce the weekly voting limit.
The Contact page uses a PHP session for its CAPTCHA and anti-spam protection. The session is used for the temporary values required to process the form.
