Gary Numan's Premier Tour was a 15-date UK tour held in March and April 1996. It promoted the compilation The Premier Hits, released on 18 March 1996 through PolyGram TV and Beggars Banquet, which reached No. 21 in the UK Albums Chart. The accompanying Cars (Premier Mix) single reached No. 17 in the UK Singles Chart and was associated with a Carling Premier lager advertising campaign.
The tour opened at Folkestone's Leas Cliff Hall on 23 March and concluded at London's Labatt's Hammersmith Apollo on 7 April 1996. The 15 concerts took place across England and Scotland, covering approximately 1,844 miles.
A glossy tour programme was produced, featuring band biographies, concert dates, photographs and advertisements for The Premier Hits album and the accompanying single. Numan also performed at several festival dates later in the year, during August.
