"Here in Italy these are considered semi-official. These sleeves (called S.P.E.R. sleeves) for various artists, they are the DISCO SUCCESSO s.p.e.r. sleeves. I suppose that's the only one for Gary Numan, but I have to check some boxes to be sure.
They are really collected, this comes from a big stock that I have bought some years ago, I haven't so much of this (normally a pressing was 150/200 sleeves, for customers of record fairs and for radio's, but sometimes were really an handfull pressing for minor pop or minor new wave artists). Many people ask "fake", but they are not absolutely fake, because are inedit, not copy of an original.
They are like xerox copies, but with a form of originality: the GREEN base comes from another pressing, so you can easily understand if you have an "original" or a bad b/w copy. Must have TWO PRESSINGS." |
