Gary Numan returned to North America in October 2010 with a tour celebrating The Pleasure Principle, his landmark 1979 solo album. Following the UK anniversary concerts in 2009, these performances gave audiences across the Atlantic an opportunity to hear the album's distinctive synthesiser-led material performed live alongside selections from other periods of his career.
The tour comprised 15 venues across three countries, covering approximately 7,875 miles. It opened on 17 October 2010 at the Firestone Club in Orlando, Florida, and concluded on 6 November 2010 at the Lunario del Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City.
The setlists drew heavily on The Pleasure Principle, including songs such as "Airlane", "Metal", "Films", "M.E.", "Cars" and "Complex". The concerts also featured material from Replicas, Pure and Jagged, together with newer songs such as "The Fall" and "Big Noise Transmission", connecting the original album with Numan's later work.
